Every year during the week before Thanksgiving, we hold Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. This year, more than 500 campuses and communities will participate!

The National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness sponsor National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week each year as a way to educate the public and decision-makers about these issues.

We will only end hunger and homelessness by building awareness that will help dismantle the stereotypes and misinformation that exist about the root causes of poverty. During Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, student and community groups organize local events designed to educate the public, promote community service, and build campus and community coalitions to end poverty.
